There are many reasons that people use debit cards. In today’s technologically advanced, card happy society, so few people actually carry cash anymore that it can easily make someone feel out of place when they don’t have a debit Visa card or other type of credit or debit card. Fortunately, many companies have made the availability of prepaid cards universal, so that anyone can have a debit Visa card as long as they have the cash to put on there. Why should you use plastic instead of cash? Here are three advantages to the debit Visa card.

1. You can pay bills and other expenses without worrying about carrying around a lot of cash in your wallet. It also saves you from having to get money orders for bills when you don’t have access to a checking account. Cash is great, but is sometimes a hassle for certain events and needs.

2. Having a debit card allows you to look more financially stable than carrying around cash all the time. There shouldn’t be too much focus on caring about what other people think, but when everyone has debit cards, it can be hard not to feel left out or inadequate because you can’t get a debit card.

3. Visa is a worldwide name, so you can trust that your debit Visa card will be accepted in a variety of different places. It doesn’t matter whether your card comes directly from Visa or if it comes from another merchant, because it will still have the well-known Visa logo on it. It will also make you feel more like the average consumer even if you can’t get a checking account or credit card.

These are only three of the many different reasons that you should use a debit Visa card for your spending needs. They are also a great way to allocate expenses, because you can limit the amount of money that is accessible on your debit card, allowing you to save money and budget better than you might with cash or a traditional credit card.

Everywhere you go, it seems like you can use a debit Visa card for your purchases. It’s become so common to use plastic that many stores are getting credit card machines that you wouldn’t think were necessary. For example, if you go to the dollar store or a drive thru, you used to expect to have to pay cash. Now just about everyone accepts cards that it’s often more surprising when a retailer tells you that they don’t accept credit cards. All in all, having a debit Visa card can make your life easier in many ways, as long as you use it wisely.

Yes most banks you are only liable for the first 50.00 good thing you reported it. Better safe than sorry. I have left my card at a store by accident and even though it was turned in to lost and found I still reported it you never know who had it or if it was used.

The bank will just issue you a new card with a new number usually just takes a few weeks at the most for the new card.

Just use it like it is a regular Visa credit card. Choose Visa.

epassport is one good option, another one is Green Dot Visa which can be picked up at any CVS or Walgreens

Here's where some CC companies get you. All of them offer great rewards POTENTIAL. Sorry for the caps but it's important. The truth is you have to find out what the qualifying purchases are. The best ones are the cards you get points for paying your utility bill and gas. Most people have to buy gas and have utility payments why not use your card and get the points. Just save the money you normally do for those payments and send it to the CC.

when I watch the video it seems to be in sync…

I did not make the video… I just uploaded it from a press release on the Visa Europe website.

Most prepaid cards do need activation and some may charge an activation fee. Activation is as simple as making a phone call (toll free number) or going online.

The ones that do not need activation are the off-the-shelf ones, that is, they do not have to be applied for and do not have card holder's name on it. You should be able to make purchases with these right away.

Make sure you understand the charges your card may incur. There's a brilliant comparison page for prepaid cards at tracenotes.com

Depends on how your credit history is, if you want a sure way of getting a visa credit card without to many inquires against your credit report, you can go for a Bank of America secured visa card, what this means you will give Bank of America a deposit and based on this amount you will get a spending limit on this card, there is no way to get turned down, best thing is it works no different from any other credit card, the deposit is just an assurance to them that incase you default that they have your money, this way you get to build your credit and at the same time do not have to apply for any cards with the risk of getting turned down and putting those inquires on your history, what will happen in the near future is that you will start receiving pre-approved cards on your own once you have a good payment history. I say start with a $250-$500 deposit, they insert it in a real crappy savings account but hey at least you know where your money is and it builds interest as well, well anyway I hope that helps, check out there website or call them for more info.

I want that card.. It loooks cool.
