Are there any credit counseling services that will allow me to keep at least one credit card open?I would like to enroll in a program to pay off most of my creditors, but it scares me to have to close all of the credit card accounts (which I've heard is often a requirement). I would like to keep at least one open for emergencies. Does anyone know of any agencies that will allow this?

I would find it highly suspicious if a payment needs to be made in cash. Usually, contractors who cheat on the income taxes do that. I would rather not give my credit card number. The reason for that, I am not sure at all how privately the contractor will store this information, and if it will be easily accessible by others.
